Particle reduction mill turn key solutions

By working with many high-regarded and respected mixing and milling equipment companies, Norstone Inc. is able to provide you with the best possible turn key solution for your operation. If you are searching for a particle reduction mill, then we can help guide you to the exact model and size to best suit your needs.

Particle reduction mills are very common in the food industry, especially in preparation of rice, salt and pepper, coffee, flax seed, spices, sugar, and more. A partical reduction mill is also used in chemical and mineral grinding applications-- such as for silicon metal, limestone, polyester, activated carbon, and more. Particle reduction can be achieved by one of the many models of these grinding media mills such as a stirred attritor media ball mill or a multi-stage roller mill. Contact us to discuss the best one for your needs.

Stirred attritor media ball mill details

More energy-saving and grinding efficient than a traditional ball mill, a stirred attritor media ball mill has significant advantages. With an attritor, you are able to take a sampling of the product without disturbing the process. This is because the attritor does not spin as an entire drum containing the media and the product as a traditional ball mill will. A stationary, jacketed tank is used in attritors, and they have discs or arms attached. The result is precise temperature control from the jacket and efficient energy use. They also use less size reduction media and plant space than their ball mill counterpart. However, traditional ball mills are great to use when processing large material starting at 1/4".
